Dylan comes from a musical family in an old Yorkshire mining town. His father played drums in bands and was always surrounded by the arts. He followed in his father’s footsteps and learnt to play drums from a very early age playing his first summer season at Filey Butlins when he was just 8 years old!
Leaving school at 18, he has performed in bands, travelling the country in cover bands and performing original music with RATTLEBOX in Europe, Dubai and America. Dylan co-wrote the band's songs and released two albums. In addition to his song writing he plays drums, bass, guitar, keyboard and vocals.
Dylan now teaches song writing and musicianship in multiple genres and manages Splash Recording Studio in Yorkshire, England providing end to end support for artists from first performance through promotion and public presentation both live and in the media.
He is also the singer, drummer and musical director of sixties revival band “The Magic Mushrooms”
Dylan has written 2 musicals (Enchanted - lite and Theseus) – Performed in 1996 and 1997 and co-wrote a rock opera (Enchanted) performed professionally in the Pontefract Liquorice Festival 2006. 68 The Musical will be his third full musical and passion project. Despite numerous setbacks (including a global pandemic!) Dylan has tirelessly worked to to bring his vision to reality, culminating in hiring talented, professional theatre performers from all over the world to record and bring to life the characters of 68 The Musical and producing a soundtrack album.

Script
In 1999 I started writing plots for murder mystery games for BV Leisure. I wrote ten plots which had worldwide sales of over 85,000 units.
In 2006 I started writing downloadable murder mysteries for host-party.com and playmurdermystery.com with current sales in excess of 20,000 units. With an average of 10 players per game that means my boxed and downloadable murder mysteries have been played by over a million people.
A number of the murder mysteries were scripted for performance on stage and so far there have been over 750 scripts purchased for performance, mainly in the USA and UK.
In 2015 I wrote a full pantomime, Aladdin, which had its inaugural performance in Feb 2016 by an amateur group at Pelsall in the West Midlands.
In the summer of 2015, while on a song writing course in France, I started a collaboration with two musicians to write a full musical, Directions, containing seventeen original songs. This musical had its world premiere at Lichfield Garrick Theatre in 2018 with a cast of 40.
In 2019 I wrote the libretto for an opera in conjunction with composer, Oliver Davis. This is still under development and one of the arias, This Mortal Man, featured on a number one classical CD.
Also in 2020 I collaborated with Harry Hindley to write the book and some lyrics for Dream Home, a dystopian musical set in a climate change ravaged world. A producer has been appointed with a view to workshopping and staging.
In 2021 I commenced writing my first full length novel, A Dangerous Fossil.
